Assistant Manager (AXIS Bank)

Axis Bank Young Bankers Program (ABYB): An Overview

Axis Bank’s Young Bankers Program (ABYB) is a specialized one-year course developed to launch the careers of young graduates in the banking sector. Conducted in collaboration with Manipal Global Education Services, the program has successfully groomed and placed over 11,000 candidates into Axis Bank since its inception in 2012.

Graduates who complete the course are awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking Services (PGDBS) by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), a well-regarded academic institution. The curriculum is designed to build a strong foundation in banking and finance, equipping students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and professional attitude required to thrive in a banking career.

Program Structure

The ABYB program spans 12 months and includes:

  • 4 months of classroom training at the Manipal Academy of BFSI in Bengaluru

  • 3 months of internship at Axis Bank branches or offices across India

  • 5 months of On-the-Job Training (OJT), where participants work full-time in assigned roles at Axis Bank locations PAN India

The training blends theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. It emphasizes practical learning, communication skills, and personality development, ensuring that participants are fully prepared to take on their roles from day one.
